Overview
PowerCheck Electrical Safety Services, incorporated 2007 sets a new standard in Home Electrical Safety Assessments, tailored to provide accurate risk assessment of the electrical system in a home, for the insurance industry. Through a comprehensive analysis of the electrical system by an expert, the safety of the electrical system is determined. The home is then described as Low, Medium, High, or Extreme Risk. This provides an opportunity to easily understand the electrical safety of the home. If hazards are identified, they are clearly laid out in the report, so that an independent electrical contractor will know exactly what actions to take to make the house safe. PowerCheck assessments are impartial and unbiased. Our only interest is in the electrical safety of your home.
- All PowerCheck agents are absolute experts in electrical safety
All are Master Electricians (or equivalent) and/or retired Electrical Inspectors; all with decades of experience in home electrical systems. - All PowerCheck agents are entirely third party and impartial
If a hazard is identified, it is because there is a safety concern. In the vast majority of older homes we do find fire hazards. However in most homes the repairs are minimal. - A PowerCheck Home Electrical Safety Assessment is comprehensive
The assessment takes about 90 minutes in the home. It consists of a 100-point examination and is non-invasive. - The PowerCheck safety report is easy to understand
The safety report is sent to the home owner within two business days. The risk rating of the home is presented on the first page of the report. The balance of the report presents any corrective actions required to bring the house to lower risk. Following repairs, the contractor can sign on the first page that the identified repairs have been completed, re-describing the home at the lower risk rating. Thus there is no need for re-assessment. - PowerCheck assessments are available throughout Ontario and Western Canada
PowerCheck agents are located in most major centres throughout Ontario and Western Canada. Assessments can be done throughout Ontario and Western Canada with no, or minimal travel costs. Check our location list for details. - PowerCheck is insured, bonded and licensed
